1. You Don't Have A Niche or It's Too Broad

It's super hard to market your design business when you're a jack of all trades. And what's more, when you try to convey the list of the bazillion things you can do on your website, your clients will be so confused. Figure out what you want to do and who you do it for. Know your client, and market your services to them.

2. You Don’t Have A Website/Social Media Presence

Your website is very important to your success. This is where you can connect with prospective clients, show your designs and market your brand/business better. Make sure your website looks professional.

3. You Don’t Do Enough Marketing Campaign

The important of marketing your business cannot be over emphasized. You are a marketer before you're a designer. Marketing is about getting people interested in your business and if the only time you reach out to people is when you need money, you'll be really disappointed when the sales don't roll in.

4. You Don't Have A Plan in Place to Grow Your Business

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. You can't wish about your business success you need to come up with an action plan to achieve your goals. Showing up every day is the key to a successful business. Make a list of your goals and then the steps you need to take to execute them. This will keep the overwhelm away because you'll know what you need to work on every day.
